Global Partnership of Schools - A British Council Project
For HITEC schools, the term 'community' has a number of dimensions including: The school community the children and young people it serves, their parents, and families, the school's staff and governing body, and community users of the school's facilities and services; The community within which the school is located the school in its geographical community and the people who live or work in that area. This applies not just to the immediate neighbourhood but also to the city or local authority area within which a school is located;
The Pakistan community all schools are by definition part of this community; and HITEC by providing residence to its teachers and students from all over Pakistan.

The global community forming International links. By developing Global Partnerships, Celebrating International Days and participating in International Competitions. HITEC Schools are intimately linked with communities. They serve as centers of learning. They employ residents, and they connect neighbors with one another. They are part of a neighborhood's physical fabric, impacting local residents and influencing the aesthetic character of a community. The joint use of a library or a park, for instance, offers an effective solution in urban areas where land for new community facilities is not readily available.

HITEC believes in sharing its resources with all communities, in its short history a team of teachers from HITEC made a trip to KOTLI Sattian Murree and worked with teachers of an underprivileged school in making teaching aids and developing a colourful environment for primary classes. HITEC hosted a group of seven teachers from Kotli Sattian to share good practices in teaching.

HITEC is sharing its teaching resources by inviting teachers from neighbouring schools for attending teacher training workshops and distributing posters for display in schools etc as part of community support. HITEC has a residential community of more then 300 students and Faculty with families who provide care and understanding to Boarders by spending time in academic and sports activities after school hours. HITEC adopts Maple as the tree for greening its environment. Tree plantation Campaign launched at HITEC with students, teachers and management all planting a tree.
